In this full-day workshop, Craig Penny will teach you how to be free, quick and spontaneous with your paintings. All levels are welcome.

MATERIAL LIST - Suggestion only
- One stretched canvases at a comfortable size. eg 30 x 24 inches
- One Smaller canvas. eg 16 x 20 inches – to be used for a one-hour painting challenge
- Acrylic brushes
- Acrylic paintsÂ
- Suitable palettes for acrylicsÂ
- Spray Bottle
- Something to draw with – HB pencils
- Anything you would like to paint with other than a brush
- Photographs that you would like to paint from
- Water bucket (ice cream container or similar)
- Desktop easels will be provided - if you have a stand-up easel, please bring it along Â
- Drop sheet
- Gel medium/impasto medium
- IMAGES TO PAINT FROM WILL BE SUPPLIED
- BYO lunch
PAINTSÂ - Suggestion only
- Acrylics (Matisse Structure, no flow paints)
- Matisse Colours - Cobalt blue, Prussian blue, Cad red, Primary Yellow, Sky Blue
- Australian sienna, white, Australian Sap green or olive green, permanent light violet, Aqua green light, raw umber, burnt sienna , Atelier Colours – Pacific Blue

Whisper blue, a Matisse background colour
or whatever you have
Canvases will need to have a coat of very pale blue for the background colour.
Craig uses a little cobalt blue and gesso or whisper blue (A matisse background colour)

REFUNDS
There are no refunds for any class bookings. Class fees for the following must be paid before the end of the current term to hold your spot within the class. If you are planning on "missing a term" class fees must be paid to secure your place in the class for the following term.

MEMBERSHIP FEE
A $10 a year membership fee is payable per calendar year when joining a class or workshop at our centres. The membership covers you for insurance at both Highett and Hampton Community Centres. This is non-refunable.
