Work alongside Nicole Kemp as she takes you through a step-by-step, yet the organic approach to embroidery. Use these ideas to let your stitchery evolve. For beginners to those who have experience. A relaxed and creative approach. Areas covered. Design, live demonstration of embroidery stitches, colour development, and simple appliqué/fabric collage techniques.

BYO Materials:
– Calico, cotton-type fabric.
– Embroidery threads, eg DMC, anchor, stranded cotton, Pearl threads, etc.
– Sharp needles that are appropriate to your threads
– If you have one, around the embroidery hoop
– Any other scrap fabric you might have
– Pins, scissors, sewing kit, beads, buttons, whatever you may have
As we get started, you can just run off and grab whatever you think, if you have them in your home

  • Term Dates 2023

    Term 1: 30 Jan – 6 April 2023

  • REFUNDS

    There are no refunds for any class bookings. Class fees for the following must be paid before the end of the current term to hold your spot within the class. If you are planning on "missing a term" class fees must be paid to secure your place in the class for the following term.

  • MEMBERSHIP FEE

    A $10 a year membership fee is payable per calendar year when joining a class or workshop at our centres. The membership covers you for insurance at both Highett and Hampton Community Centres. This is non-refunable.
