Explore Gelli Printing
Explore Gelli Printing
Hampton Community Centre
A journey of self-expression and repurposing of old resources for the purpose of making art” In this workshop, we will learn how to make interesting prints through the medium of Gelli printing onto different surfaces such as scrap paper, old shopping bags, old books and as well as tissue paper and rice paper. We will learn several printing styles such as botanical printing, magazine transfer and original shape and stencil printing. The end result is dynamic one-off original art images that are fabulous and ready to hang on the wall. No prior experience need to participate in this workshop and the results are fantastic. It’s also an excellent lesson in upcycling and paying attention to what we consider waste!
