Are you looking for a creative outlet to help unwind and flow the creative juices? Why not join Suzy’s new drawing class and learn how to draw your own beautiful artwork from scratch? In this class, you will be guided through the step-by-step process of creating your own series of drawings. You will learn about the importance of observational skills in the art of drawing and refine your drawing skills with frequent exercises. You will also get some tips from Suzy on creating the best drawing masterpiece as you discover your unique artistic style.

Topics explored during the course include:

  • Line, tone and shade
  • Building perspective
  • Creating dynamic compositions
  • Developing and exploring personal style
  • Observational drawing techniques
  • Creating depth and volume

Drawing is a great activity to help you unplug from technology and reconnect with your creative self. You’ll leave each class feeling creatively fulfilled and proud of your new art skills too! This course is beginner-friendly, no prior drawing experience is needed.

    A $10 a year membership fee is payable per calendar year when joining a class or workshop at our centres. The membership covers you for use at both Highett and Hampton Community Centres.


    Class fees for the following must be paid before the end of the current term to hold your spot within the class. If you are planning on "missing a term" class fees must be paid to secure your place in the class for the following term.
